Our School Week
PE - sessions start November 2023 (after half term)
Our PE sessions will be every Wednesday. Children are to come into school in weather appropriate PE kits.
PE uniform consists of:
- Plain navy hoodie or school branded hoodie/school jumper/cardigan
- Plain navy or white t-shirt
- Plain navy or black bottoms
- White, black or navy socks
- Suitable footwear (any colour is fine)
Outdoor Learning Day
Every Friday is our Outdoor Learning Day. This is where we spend the whole day outdoors in Forest School exploring nature, experiencing different weather, and learning new skills such as using tools safely and cooking on the fire. Children are to come into school in our Forest school uniform (same as PE), to ensure we are looking smart but dressed appropriately for the weather. Our Forest School clothes will get a little wet and muddy as we will be outside in all weather, so please bring in a named bag at the beginning of the year with spare clothes that can be kept on your child's peg. Please also bring in a pair of wellies to be kept in school all year to allow us to go outside come rain or snow!
Reading Folders
You will receive a reading folder after a few weeks in Reception. Please bring these into school every day. Each day, children will be able to change their books and read/practice their sounds in class. Please read your book and practice the sounds each night. Once you have done this, please date and write a short comment in your child's online reading record so that we can see what you are doing at home.
