Year 6 Maths & Science

We are thrilled to share that Year 6 has had a cracking start to the term. The children dived straight into our practical maths lessons, where we explored angles through hands-on activities that truly brought the subject to life. It was wonderful to see the children enthusiastically creating, identifying, and measuring angles in various shapes; their engagement was simply delightful!

In Science, we took a different kind of plunge as we dissected a lamb's heart to identify its main features. This experience not only sparked curiosity but also reinforced our learning about the circulatory system. The children's reactions ranged from fascination to a bit of squeamishness, which is all part of the learning journey! Their ability to grasp the practical elements of science has been impressive, and it’s clear they are relishing their position as the top year in the school.
