The Wonders Of The Amazon Rainforest

This term, Year 5 have been exploring the wonders of the Amazon Rainforest through our English, Geography and Art lessons. In English, we have been reading The Explorer by Katherine Rundell and working towards writing our own extended narratives inspired by the story. In Geography, we have been learning about the Amazon River and discovering its importance and impact on the rainforest. In Art, we have been studying the artist Joseph Cornell, experimenting with tints and shades, and preparing to create our very own Cornell-inspired boxes.
