Exploring Irreversible Changes

This week, Year 5 have been finishing off our amazing science unit on changes and properties of materials. We conducted an experiment to explore irreversible changes. The children added a small amount of bicarbonate of soda to a test tube and then used a syringe to add white vinegar. They were fascinated to watch the chemical reaction as the mixture bubbled up.
