Maths Interhouse Competitions
What a fantastic week it has been for maths here at our school! The much-anticipated Maths Interhouse competition kicked off, and it was a whirlwind of excitement and learning. Our KS1 children, accompanied by their fabulous Year 6 buddies, got stuck into a game of Switch. They showcased their understanding of place value with numbers from 1 to 20 – it was wonderful to see them in action!
Meanwhile, KS2 were deep in the mental gymnastics of a game called Make 15. They had to add consecutive numbers from playing cards and quickly snap down when they hit the magic number 15. The thrill in the air was contagious!
Not to be left out, our Reception class was thrilled to have their Year 6 partners come into class to demonstrate how to use Numbots! This collaboration really made maths come alive. What a great maths-filled week, full of fun and learning!
