Year 4 Pentatonic In Music, Letter Writing and Multiplication Check

The children in Year 4 were learning all about the pentatonic in music this week. A pentatonic scale is a musical scale with only five notes per octave. They worked with a partner to compose an original piece of work. In English, each child wrote an informal letter ready to give to the current Year 3 children when they transition into Year 4. The letters were well presented and informative, the Year 3 children are going to be thrilled with them! The cosy book corner in Year 4 has been put to good use as children prepare for their multiplication check. The shelves are stocked full of lovely books so the children are spoilt for choice when it's time to choose a new one.
