Look at Freddie's amazing coding work! I loved the dancing robot. Please send me your completed videos as they are such fun to watch.

He hasn't just been sat at the computer though; Freddie has also been making the most of the chance to get out and about.

Lauren and her Dad made this huge calculator, ready to play 'Hopscotch Maths'

Congratulations, Tobi, you have mastered the skill of riding a bike. Has anybody else mastered a new skill recently?

....................................

Monty impressed his family when he baked this impressive carrot cake...super measuring Monty!

                                                       ........................

I have been really impressed with the reports I have been getting about how well Tilly is focussing on her work and how independent she is being. keep up the good work Tilly!

A huge thank you to Alfie and Lauren who have both designed a poster to encourage people to stay at home. I was impressed with the results. Well done!

Year Three Lockdown Olympics

A huge well done to everyone who joined in with the Lockdown Olympics - I hope you had lots of fun!

Results will be announced soon!

..............................

Eli's game Bin Bin was very popular, my family had great fun with it!

Denver got very creative with the game that Freya designed.

.........................

A thank you to Lauren for coming up with the idea of jumping Jacks. It certainly tired Freya out!

.........................

Alfie and Anaya had fun with a challenge set by Denver. Alfie even upgraded to heavier weights!

...............

Freddie's 'Top Bin' challenge required a lot of skill and co-ordination.

........................

Tilly's standing jump required lots of strength

...................

Anaya challenged her brother to Lottie's game, 'Thumb Wars'. Thank you Lottie, it was fun.

.........................

The star of the week for 8th May was Lottie for singing the lava song so beautifully with her sister, and sending it in to me.

........

27th April - 2nd May

It has been great to hear about all the budding gardeners we have in Class 3. I think you will agree that Freya has some very healthy looking plants.

..............

Freddie and Tommy have been trying out their cookery skills. I wish I was in lock down at their house, as that pizza looks delicious!

............

Amelia is staying focused and completing all the tasks that have been set, well done!

......................

Amaya and Edward have been having lots of fun, as well as keeping up with there schoolwork. That slime looks such fun! They go out walking most days and are trying to earn their 'Race at Your own Pace Medals'.

They also made their own play dough, and sent in the recipe so that you can have a go at home.

.........................

I'm so proud of Alfie's interview. He asked his Nan about her recollections of the post war period. I loved reading her responses and found them really informative. You would make a super journalist, Alfie!

...................

Thank you Anaya for sending in this wonderful poster, to remind us all about washing our hands.

............

Alfie and Freya have sent in photographs of their 'peaceful place' Where do you go to find peace? What do you do?

.......................

The Year 3 star of the week this week was Amelia. Amelia has really impressed me with her fantastic writing skills. It isn't always easy to stay focussed at home but you are all doing a great job.

Well done Amelia!

.............................

20th - 27th April

Are you ready for the Lock Down Olympics? Cartwheels and Thumb Wars are just two of the events on offer!

There no time to rest in the Lord household. As well as keeping up with school work Bella and Stevie are learning important life skills such as baking, decorating and gardening - Well done girls!

Did anybody else try the experiment to see why we need to use soap to wash our hands?

Tilly has been trying lots of different activities to keep her body and mind active.

Its been lovely to see the many ways children are keeping fit. Reilly is lucky enough to have a whole field to safely exercise in! How are you burning off your energy?

Reilly has not let the lockdown prevent him from learning. He is focussed a raring to go.

Denver has enjoyed making boats and floating them down the stream. He also found a spider and wanted to know if anybody could identify it.

He has also celebrated a 'Lock Down' birthday and had some 'retro roller blades'. He has managed to learn to skate, with great skill. I think you will all agree that his cake looks delicious!

This weeks star of the week was Lauren for her fantastic sewing skills. You may have spotted further down the blog that she made an amazing cushion! Well done Lauren!

I'm loving the 'box' fort - Has anybody else made a model from 'junk?'

What a lot of instruments...all made from 'junk', well done Lauren.

Lauren's brother had a birthday and so she helped to make it special by decorating the garden.

Let's give a shout out for our Key Workers

If you have any key workers in your family let me know so that we can give them a shout out!

Freddie and Tommy have been clapping - have you?

It's lovely to see so many rainbows everywhere.

Anaya's mum is working flat out for our wonderful NHS. To keep safe, Anaya and her brother have been living with their grandparents. Anaya has to talk to her mum through the window - even on her birthday!

Wow, look at McKinley's hair! Her mum promises it will be back to normal when we return to school - does anybody else have a radical style to share?

McKinley also got creative when she created this magical fairy garden.

Lock Down in Mrs Gemmell's House

Taking the Dinosaur for her daily exercise

Friday night is fun night and usually involves dressing up!

On Easter day I set up an Easter Egg hunt for 3 of my children. It was great fun looking for the next clue, my dog Asta joined in too!

Week 1 and 2 of Home Learning

Tobi has been doing PE with Joe Wickes every morning and enjoyed afternoon walks with his family, its lovely to be able to have our daily exercise in the sunshine!

Well done Lottie, its great to see you finding time to learn another language.

Monty has been busy making his own model of a Spitfire - It looks great doesnt it?

Lots of you have been busy helping in the garden. Here is Bella planting some seeds. I cant wait to see when they all start to sprout.

Lauren has been very creative and stitched together this wonderful cushion.

Alfie is a very successful footballer out of school and was in the Hereford Times this week with his team Toros.

Tilly has been carrying out her own research about topics that interest her. Have you got any non- fiction books at home that you've not read yet? Maybe you could find out some fascinating facts and then set a quiz for your family.

Anaya has been busy preparing meals, using limited ingredients. She made a delicious quiche. Mrs Gemmell  was very impressed with her pastry making skills.

Lauren has been very busy completing the work that was set in the home learning pack. I have been really impressed with how well everyone has focussed on their work.

It been lovely to see that lots of you have been working on your time telling skills. Well done

Please keep the photographs coming in so that I can add them to the blog.
