Kingstone & Thruxton Primary School

Year 3

Welcome to Year 3

Year 3 are taught by Mrs Pascoe (teacher and Deputy) and we are assisted Mrs Morgan and Mrs Jones (teaching assistants). We have 28 lovely children in the class and we are also lucky enough to have a tortoise called Speedy!

Our Big Question

Our key question for this half half term 'How does Usain Bolt run so fast?’ and this focuses on the human body and keeping healthy. We are looking forward to finding out about special sporting events. We even intend hosting our very own Highland Games and inviting our grown ups to come and join in the fun.

Class Information

We need our PE kits in school every day but our PE days are Monday and Tuesday.

We are expected to read for at least 5 minutes every night and parents should sign reading logs when we have read at home. We can read lots of different material and it does not necessarily have to our reading book all the time.

We have topic challenges to help us to explore our topic at home. We also have weekly, optional, homework is set on Education City - this is an online, activity based homework in which play games and complete activities. These can be accessed by computer or tabet (although not all activities will work on the tablet).
