Executive Headteacher  Kingstone Academy Trust

The Board of Trustees is very pleased to be able to offer a great opportunity for an ambitious individual to lead the team at Kingstone Academy Trust.

We are looking for someone who will retain the key aspects of our ethos and, in addition, will provide visionary leadership for the Trust, which currently consists of Kingstone High School and Kingstone and Thruxton Primary School.

The Board of Trustees is proud of the progress Kingstone Academy Trust has made over recent years, and we are ambitious for the future and believe that the Trust is well placed to make further considerable advances in the coming years. This is a fantastic opportunity for an equally ambitious individual to take on the role of Executive Headteacher and to lead the next phase of our development.

Excellent relationships exist between our two schools and the benefits of this to our students and staff are obvious. We believe the way that the schools work together is vital and it will be essential that the new Executive Headteacher will see the value of that relationship and nurture its further development.

If you are looking to build on proven and successful school leadership and believe in the benefits of a 3 to 16 education, then this opportunity is right for you.

The process opens on 22 June for a three-week period, with applications to be received by 4 pm on 15 July. Applications should be made on a Kingstone Academy Trust application form, attached below,  via email to Sally Spreckley sspreckley@kingstoneacademy.co.uk. A supporting statement will also be required. Please note that CVs on their own will not be considered.  Full details of the post are in the recruitment pack attached below.

All applications will be acknowledged. Shortlisted applicants will be notified following assessment of applications against the person specification and job role requirements by the selection panel, in the week beginning 20 July.

Interviews will take place over the days of 17 and 18 September 2020.   Please do contact Rachel Gallyot (07810068924) or Dr Fiona Hammans (07730693350), recruitment consultants to the Trust Board, for an informal discussion about the role, (or email info@weepingcrossconsultancy.co.uk).

If you would like to arrange a visit to the schools, please contact Sally Spreckley, Clerk to the Board, sspreckley@kingstoneacademy.co.uk or 01981 250224 ext 264.

Kingstone Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All vacancies that involve working with vulnerable adults and/or children will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check at Enhanced Level, along with other standard pre-employment checks.
