Reception

Welcome to the Reception Class Page

We are a class of 30  wonderful Reception who are busy learning across all areas of the EYFS  curriculum. Mrs Gemmell is our class teacher and we are mostly supported by Mrs Talbot, Mrs McBride and Mrs Morgan, although we are lucky to have other staff members join us during the .week.

Our classroom is an amazing big, bright space where learning is brought to life. We enjoy participating in a range of activities, indoors and outdoors, to help us develop prime and specific skills and understanding. Inside we have access to a creation station, computers, home corner (with a full size settee and a real bed!), writing area, mark making trolley, construction toys, reading garden games and puzzles; whereas outside we have sand, large water play, an amazing mud kitchen, bikes, sports equipment, vegetable patch, woodwork zone, grass area, den building zone, grassy slopes and a rope swing. Plenty to keep our inquistive minds happy and healthy.

Our big question this half term is 'What are dinosaurs?' We will posing and finding the answer to lots of questions.  Please see the link on our letters page for more detail.
